Template for drilling holes for front center mounted OEM license plate bracket
EDIT/
Didn’t realize there were existing slots in the bumper to locate the license plate holder. Last edited by Dekdo; 01-09-2020 at 10:04 AM.. |

You don't really need to drill holes. the bracket has two tabs that go into slots in the front bumper cover. The screws themselves are self-tapping. It will make sense when you have all the parts in hand and test fit them. At least, that's how it went on my 128i. Be careful not to over-tighten the screws. They can easily strip the holes they make. Hope that helped.

The Skene bracket needs holes but they are on the underside of the bumper.

Agreed, try not to drill into the face of the bumper, either get the underside mount or the one that fits into the tow hook threaded insert.
