Got together with a local videographer today and grabbed a ton of great footage. Once it's all cut up and edited I'll post but here's a still I took while we were setting up. Should be some nice rolling shots and stuff

When I got steel wheels for winter tires, I didn't like the exposed hub.
So, I got some center caps. (go me) |

I'm loving my new custom sheepskin seat covers. Leather seats may be fine and dandy but they do not mix well with hot weather, air-cond or not. No more sweaty bum for me

Just finished washing the cars, I'm putting them in the garage; since here in Puerto Rico it rains almost everyday (You can see the clouds on top of the white car).

Car washed, diff installed!
Man, I've missed this gearing (3.73). The DiffsOnline 3-Clutch LSD is amazingly quiet and smooth compared to my former MFactory 1.5-way. It doesn't make its presence known until its presence is required. It's nice to be able to rip through all of the gears so quickly without ending up at highly illegal speeds.

Are you just looking for power? I'd think it would be way, way cheaper to do a full N54 build with a huge single that makes 800whp all day on the right fuel. Modding the S85 to that level would be insanely expensive. If it's a show car, then ya, I get it, the s85 would be very special. I think the cooler swap would be a b58. The new supras are dynoing over 500whp with next to nothing in mods (tune/dp). The aftermarket for the b58 is going to be enormous and likely will be the powertrain of choice for me in my next car (if I don't get a c8 as I'm also in the midst of a nice job change).

Dropped the Performance Aero front bumper off for paint today, and will be getting that installed later this week.

Well think of it as trading $ for smiles every time you step on the throttle
In all seriousness though, I’m really curious how the perf aero bumper turns out coz I know you have the cooling pieces to go with it, too. I’m still on edge in getting these two pieces since they’re worth one weekend and a half of track time this coming Spring first world problems brother. |

I'm probably at around $1k with this bumper, including all of the ducts, paint, and the 135i oil cooler. I think the functional upgrades (brake ducting, oil cooling) are what truly justify it to me. I couldn't justify this much money on a purely visual upgrade. Keep it simple while you build track time. You'll get far more out of a weekend at the track than you will buying any part. That said, when you do buy parts (everyone does), make sure to lay a good foundation for the car. An LSD, solid rear subframe bushings, and M front control arms are my picks for best parts to start with.

Received my Aerodynamic Kit for the rear as that's what I plan to do first (I like the front so I plan to keep that stock for a bit longer, plus I took a car part break).
It came with all necessary hardware and plastic rear apron piece as well as the new crush plate things that look like egg cartons for that bumper if they're any different than the ones already on my vehicle (non M sport 128i). While I waited for the bumper kit to arrive I decided to have a little fun and ordered the OEM CF spoiler as well. I received said part and fell in love with the quality of BMWs CF finish. After using my go to overseas BMW parts site and having my order canceled for OEM Aero side skirts (damn they really are NLA!!!) + OEM CF diffuser (originally planned to get the Scopione CF diffuser as I could have picked it up locally/was my favorite one after extensive research), I eventually did find out that ECS Tuning/Turner Motorsports had one BMW OEM diffuser in stock so I jumped at the opportunity and ordered it. That part is now also listened NLA on their site. The part came from Germany and they told me it was the last available piece. I absolutely love the finish and can't wait to see it on the car itself. All the parts will go on once the bumper is painted and I receive my PDC kit from Bimmertech. I decided to go with OEM bits for the rear to keep my theme for the car the same (at least for now): OEM Euro Bi-Xenon -> OEM LCI Blacklines -> M Sport bumper -> M Performance fancy bits.... you guys get the point

CF Performance style diffuser finally arrived and got it installed the other day! The rear end is coming together nicely.
Also removed the factory spoiler in preparation of the Performance spoiler and my goodness does it look better without the factory spoiler. You can see the lines and curves much better and see the low CSL style kick BMW designed into it.
