NICE! I went and drove one the other day, fell in love, might be a replacement for the wife's car. She's into it too
That looks awesome!

Mine is in the shop right now for a trans fluid & filter change. Here's hoping for good news on that front.
Bonus pics from last Friday's wash:

Keep your head on a swivel. This f*cktard was dead-center 2.759 seconds AFTER I had the green light. IIRC, the MINIMUM length for a yellow light in California is 3 seconds. Yolo, motherf*cker. Time is actually 16:53, not 15:53. First green at 14.458 seconds (frame 55/120). All three lights were green within .025 second (3 frames @ 120 Fps. Second shot, with the a**hole dead center, is at 17.217 seconds (frame 26/120).

I had the "Brake pad below minimum" light come on over the weekend. The pads have less than 3K miles on them and all look good. I guess the sensor is bad.

I just had this happen. In my case, the pads and sensors were fine. There was a date (or mileage?) that triggered the warning light. Try cycling through you service reminders on the instrument cluster.

Contacted several suppliers regarding TRW vs OE M3 arms, they all replied saying that the only difference is the TRW arms have the ///M logo grinded, but they are indeed identical and they have fitted TRW arms on numerous track day cars and yet to see any failures or report of issues.
I guess i own some of you an apology then, guess they are identical in every way. But i will be ordering the RWFB directly from BMW, they are not too bad in terms of price. |

That is indeed correct, and i had some bad experience with ATE (OEM) discs on the track, hell when i removed them there was a nice black ring on the hubs, indication that they could not handle the heat in extreme situations, hence why i was hesitant regarding going OEM vs OE.
But as long as people report nothing but good results/experiences, there should be nothing to fear. Which also significantly increases my budget due to reduce costs. Just one question, i see some order a new headlight leveling unit, when replacing the arms. Is it a M3 one? or just a new one when doing the arms? Anything else i need to do when replacing the front arms and RSFB? Sway bars are going in as well and new front arm bolts. |

Not the leveling sensor unit, rather just need the connecting rod- m3 CA has a different attachment method.
You want part # 37142283867 Runs about $20 US.

Ordered a new right-side headlight for $140, brand new from Valeo. Not the $63 that the new left-side light was, but still a good deal. Also ordered 2 liters of Redline MTL, and SuperLight Shockproof gear oil for the diff. The brutality is a little much, so hopefully that will make it feel more gentle.
I'm so excited about the new headlight, now the car won't look lopsided...

No mechanical issues, no electrical issues, dealt with the leaks and spent plenty of time modding so this is the price I need to pay.

I used it on my carpet where the black 'bmw' part was peeling up and it's held for like a year now so we'll see how this works.

Getting ready for boost season!!
Cars been giving me some weird feelings/sounds lately. Ended up with new trans, brake/clutch, diff and power steering fluid. Also replaced the OFHG and OC gasket. While filling up on coolant and I broke the plastic bleed screw and replaced it with an aluminum one. Deflection pulley started squeaking again so I ordered the full kit from ECS and should be replacing that tonight or tomorrow! (FCP was out of stock on belt kits, they said I can still ship back old kit for full refund) 👍🏻👍🏻 Also just rolled over 60k 😁 |
