SKI-R, if you end up finding someone (John V) who will make some bushings, I'd be interested in a set if they want to do a run of them.

Depending on price I might be interested. I have the M3 arms and camber plates and can't get much above -2.5 degrees before the adjuster hits the stock tower cut out.

It's gonna be awhile....no replies of PMs sent to John V and I refuse to join Facebook in order to reach him via them. Two custom delrin manufacturers have said no - one said they weren't set up to do it, the other is going out of business (and would've happily done a run a couple months ago, but is now simply clearing out existing inventory). I'll continue to pursue it - don't hold your breath!

Which companies did you reach out to? I sent Condor an email asking if they'd be interested. I can try and reach John on FB.

BBMGarage in Australia and delrindepot-4 from eBay. Appreciate your willingness to dig also - if you're able to reach John, that'd be fantastic (and probably simplest too).

I'd be interested depending on price. Any idea what the ballpark is expected to be?

Condor responded saying they'd looked into a couple years ago but since the arm needs to articulate in more than one direction they only recommend a spherical in that location.

Spherical not an option for me, given STX rules - are you going that route or still gonna try John V?

My car currently has the M3 arms but I was interested in the bushing option for making it STX legal in the future.

I did send John a message, I'll update with what I hear.

Sent a PM, but I'm moving on as if John never responded. Gonna see what I can get out of KMac plates on their own to start. Thanks for the effort.

What about running F8x arms? They're 20mm? longer. Might need the N5tuner/Kerscher fenders for a little more outboard clearance with them though as they do push everything out a little like the E9xM3/1M arms do.

Again, this is not a mod allowable in STX. You would be bumped to A street prepared. The added camber seems harmless but the M3 and M2 F8x arms replace the inner bushing on the wishbone with a ball joint. You also wouldn't be able to run the longer arm in combinations with camber plate which produces much more camber than the control arm change. Not worth it.

I doubt anyone would notice or call you out on it, but, you should be able to get all the camber you need from a good camber plate anyway.

Are F8x arms in our chassis a thing? Are they even longer than 1M arms?

A bit off topic, given they can't be used in STX per the above, but yes it's a thing but not without kinks.

They need custom shims to fit the subframe properly, add over a full degree of camber but also add a ton of caster and move the wheel forward in the well. You'd need the F8x tension strut to combat this,or more likely an adjustable TS to push the wheel back to center.

I'm sticking with my "full" M3 setup but thought I'd drop it here.

Do you have a reference for this or possibly the length of the F8x TS ?

There's a long discussion about it on the F3x forums. I never ordered F8x LCA/TS as I am maxed out with front tire on my current setup and can't afford to lose any space for another .3-.5 degrees camber. Honestly I'd rather slot my tower a bit.

Looks like no one measure joint to joint properly and just say "longer" or "shorter" or "the same" via eyeballing:

The initial mis-information we got about the length of the tension struts is really a shame

Might buy my own and actually do the needful.
Inverted dampers = no need need for notching.

Coulda sworn it was in that thread. Guess not.

Let me check with Hydra Performance. They're who casually mentioned the mod to me a couple months ago.

What do you mean by no need for notching with inverted dampers? The strut tower and top hat is the same on the E82.

Upside down damper. It's the one of the reasons I chose this kit:

Technically, it will allow me to slide where the strut nut is underneath the strut tower. Ignore the delrin spacers by the 3 nuts. They are only to protect the threads during transit and not to be used during install. I used the reinforcement ring to spread the load better and give little extra clearance to the dust cover but you could get away with out it too.

I think MCS started doing one too recently? Not sure. Most pics I see, are traditional non-inverted with the same "issue" or inconvenience etc. Anyway, you really do not want to pound the strut tower at such angles. I'm looking to move from -3.5 to -4 preferably with LCA/F8x TS etc.
