Lowered car, now headlights point down

I installed Dinan lowering springs into my 135i, and now my headlight beams point straght down, rendering them pointless for night time driving.
I know there was a headlight leveling arm which i had to remove during install, and I did re-attach it properly, which is why I am confused as to why the beam is so far off. Is there something else I have to do after lowering the car to alter the beam projection?

Tonight I took a look at that little cylindrical shaft that connects the plastic levelling device to the suspension arm, and it appears to be a bit bent. Is it supposed to have a very slight bend in it? would this be enough to throw off the beam that much?

Here is a pic (not of my car) for reference to what I am talking about. It is tough to tell if that piece has a small bend in it.

Any help much appreciated.

So why do my headlights point down?

there is suppose to be a slight bend in it.

you can adjust your headlights.. there is a screw at the corner of each headlight that you can turn to point the headlights up more

When i had the springs my lights were fine.. However with the Kw's and my car being an extra 1/4 inch lower at most my lights in high beam seam like low beam.. lol...

I heard of this screw on the light but never tried it.. If you want we can meet up this week and try to fix it... Give me a shout

+1. Just point your car lights onto a wall and adjust the screws to raise your lights.

Mine from factory was quite low and I adjusted it via this method and now it lights up the road the way xenons are supposed to!

You can't miss it - right on top of the headlight assembly when you open the hood. It is right there, a white adjustment screw. You can use a phillips screwdriver straight in from the top.

I lowered my car 20mm all around and I think I turned the screw 6 full revolutions if I remember correctly. There's a DIY here on the site about it. It amazed me how low they were just from that little lowering of the car.

So my problem was that I re-installed the leveling sensor wrong. My sensor was positioned vertically instead of horizontally. I corrected it last night and I can see at night again! I might try the leveling screw tonight to make it point a bit higher as well. Thanks all for the help!

I lowered my car and noticed the same thing, it's not terrible but I should probably adjust it too
