Info on Apex EC-7 wheels
I have done some research but i would like to have some first hand information if possible
I have a 135i e82 (on bilstein b16 and I am going very soon to upgrade to full front and rear m3 arms) with a 1m full front conversion I want to buy a set of Apex Ec-7 (maybe the forged verison) 18x9 front wheels and run 245/40 tyre (et 30 should be no problem) and 18x9,5 265/35 but which et?? I know that going et58 is the correct choice for the stock e82 rear end but could I run et45 (et35 I think is too aggressive without 1m rear end) with any major rubbing? To be honest I would really like to have a little bit of concavity which is really nice to look at but wheels vendors always tell me to buy et58. PS: tyres will be yokohama ad08rs or michelin sport cup2 thanks in advance Last edited by evotme; 03-26-2021 at 03:30 AM.. |

Are you willing to roll your fenders or add some negative camber in the rear?

Well, first things first, 245/40 is a larger diameter tire. By just over 0.7” the 265/35 is within 2% of diameter so that’s fine.
I run a 9JET38 offset with a light roll but average camber. I think you could squeeze 9.5JET45 as long as you’re willing to max out the rear camber bolts. I have no idea how wide your tire choices run, as not all tire widths are created the same. Long story short, yes it’s doable but it won’t be a “plug and play” fit. You’ll have to fiddle with alignment settings a fair bit. Additionally, 9JET30 up front is VERY aggressive. You’ll need to add a bunch of camber by adjustable camber plates. The M3 control arms actually don’t add any appreciable fender clearance. I’m running 8JET25 effective and I had to trim the bumper tabs and I still rub a bit on big dips and angled approaches on inclines

thanks for the info
for the front: i have a full 1m front conversion so i think that there is enough space. For sure I will buy camber plates just to be sure (and to have more camber) |

I had to add rear camber to get the ET58 to fit. It is VERY tight with 265's.
