I'm not 100% sure on the installation but I've been told it's much easier than the previous version. It's completely plug and play - 15 minutes.

The PLUS option makes the install into your car as easy as popping out the vent, popping in the new one, and hooking up the plug and play connection kit. It also means that those paranoid of dealers can swap out the gauge in just a couple of minutes!

Basically the PLUS option covers the cost of the OEM vent so it can be swapped out easily.

I figured so for the PLUS version. Wasn't sure what additional effort was needed for the non-plus. /shrug. Guess I'll just go with the PLUS so I can always revert back if needed.

Hi Guys...some questions

1. How easy is it to install? before i saw this post, my mechanic say 1 day as he needs to remove the dash etc

2. Can this fit a 2010/11 135i? coz i saw from page 1 pic that it looks similiar to the one in JB3 site but my mechanic said it doesnt fit my aircon vent...i need those standing up?

Hi Alex,

1. The install is very easy and the PLUS version is supposed to be easier as the gauge comes installed in an OEM air vent. This makes the install into your car as easy as popping out the vent, popping in the new one, and hooking up the plug and play connection kit. It also means that those paranoid of dealers can swap out the gauge in just a couple of minutes!

2. I don't think the dash wash changed for 2010/2011 models so you should be fine. Is your car LHD or RHD? The RHD units will be coming out first so LHD will have to wait longer.

Bump for payments

The order page will read "SOLD OUT" once the first allocation is sold. Units will go out on a first in, first out basis.

Here is the order page, just follow the links to process it.

Shipping is fairly inexpensive, I don't think it would be more than $35.

Looking forward to the gauge!

I ordered the "Plus" version and my credit card was billed USD $467.50 on 19th December. Has anyone who has paid received an acknowledgement of payment, invoice or shipping info? Does anyone know what the next step is?
