Interesting. I just went on the W&W track and trace just to see if it had updated the arrival time and suddenly there are two new line entries for my car for today showing "customs release" and "liner release" for port hueneme. That's....interesting.

Man, I think I'm MORE confused now!! Ha! I'm going to have to go look at the darn gearshift again, because I thought that putting it in manual mode was the equivalent of putting it in DS. Then again, I may somehow be combining my last 135 with steptronic, with my current car, with the 135 with DCT.
Next I will ask, how the hell do you put it in park? |

Reminds me of when I first tested the 135 and couldn't get it to move. had to ask the sales guy how to get it into gear ... too long with a manual and the BMW shift moves in the opposite direction from the Audi. Not my best moment.
In other news, the Toreador is still nowhere to be found but Amazon did deliver my Ipod adapter yesterday ... so we must be getting close. |

Was really weird when I first drove the DCT because I had the steptronic on my previous 135 and it was very disconcerting initially with the park and also just pushing up for reverse without the shifter sitting in a normal R position. First time I drove a DCT (on a 335is) I didn't like it at all, but after driving again on a 135, it felt a little more natural.
Nothing is as bad as the electronic parking brake on my S5 though. Oh, and using the idrive after using Audi's MMI...everything is reversed, so when I tried to scroll down on the idrive controller, it would scroll up, etc. Will be an adjustment. The boat is right off Cabo, so should show up at any moment. My carwarming gift to myself/the car of a fancy BMW keychain will arrive tomorrow. THEN I'll know we're close. We're also chipping in and getting Kouper his beloved Teddy keychain for his new car, along with some all chrome kidney grilles. http://www.shopbmwusa.com/PRODUCT/34...Y-RING-PENDANT |

I can do without Teddy, and you know how I feel about chrome grilles. In fact, BMW knows how much I hate chrome that I'm willing to bet that my car shows up from the factory with a performance ALL BLACK grille already on it before it is delivered to me next week! |

Aaaaand the ETA just updated as well which makes sense. Now showing as:
Destination: PORT HUENEME ETA: 2013-04-19 12:00 (UTC) I'm guessing mine's at dealer on the 25th or 26th and I will take her home Saturday the 27th. |

That sounds somewhat racist. Would you like some mexican jumping beans, a nice Rolax watch for $10, and anything else perhaps as we're going to be leaving the donkey show soon after the 2pm show.
Then again, I was very tempted and still might post a picture of our boat with a giant sombrero on it to commemorate its trip through Mexico. Might even throw in a mustache. |

I'm beginning to think by the way that this zebra...isn't even a real zebra. I think it's just a horse with stripes painted on it!
Luckily, I have a small percentage of Mexican in me and am fluent in spanish, so I think I'm allowed to make these jokes. I really do want to make that sombrero picture though. Seems to fit our party boat. Signed, Gregorio |

28 days of waiting is over ... well, almost. Looking forward to getting (my car) off this boat and on the road. Been a fun ride all, enjoy your new wheels.

More like 2 months and 2 weeks as I tried to place my order on Feb. 4.
And, don't think it affects any of you, but just saw the post that now all bmws starting this month come with 1 year free sirius! Score! http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=830147 Now comes the race to see which of the Toreador Three get their car first! |

Hahaha, and you are just an outside observer. I have no clue how many people other than 3 or 4 of us are even watching our madness as its unfolded lo these many weeks.
Sounds like of the 3 of us, I may get mine first cause I'm closest, but I think EatMyDust may potentially get it a day before or same day depending on how many "is" stuff has to be installed and how much of a delay that may cause. I also can't take the car until Sat. the 27th, so that's what I got penciled in for now. Pictures and videos to come. |

Will be interesting to compare when they are ready. We should all post when we get "the call" from our dealers saying we can come pick the car up. Wonder how many days difference can result just from being one of the first unloaded off the ship vs. one of the last unloaded at the port.
