Dealer says I need to replace RDC controller

Cross posted from the general forum:

I took my car in for the recall about 2 weeks ago. Everything seemed fine, but over the weekend, my electronics started acting crazy. My entire dash would power off for a fraction of a second, then come back on and all the lights would flash. This happened about every 10-15 seconds as I drove home over the weekend. I didn't notice any actual driving difference or else I would have pulled over right away.

Here is a video of what was happening.

So I brought my car in to the dealer and they tell me that the RDC controller which is apparently related to the tire pressure monitor is faulty and they claim that it has nothing to do with the recall. They want to charge me $600 to do it. Does anyone know if that's reasonable? Does anyone know a good shop for me to bring it in the Boston area?
