The Official Willowbank Raceway Test'n'Tune Thread:

This thread is for anything related to Willowbank Raceway. If anyone decides to head down for a run we could let each other know and maybe head down in a group and make a night of it. It's always nice to represent in numbers. I can see this being a regular thing for some of us too. It's $40 to race, admits the entrant and one other. Spectators $20 adults, $18 students with ID. http://www.willowbankraceway.com.au/

Willowbank

I'm 90% at this stage. Will just have to recheck the roster at work tomorrow.

My PB on that track is 12.58

Wednesday 15 September - Test'n'tune

1. BMW86
2. Micha3l
3. BBK
4. Caduceus

I would like to get there as early as possible so long as it fits in with everyone's schedule. I think it would be cool if we organise to meet up somewhere briefly and drive in together. Any suggestions?

I completely forgot about that too! I'll have to try and pick one up from somewhere... don't want to spend too much but don't want to cheap out either. I can see this being a regular thing for us. I think you can hire them when you get there though.

Don't think you can hire them at Willowbank..
Go to a motorycle shop, you can get them for around $80-$100 Just make sure it is AS1698.

Gents, I regret that I can no longer make it this Wednesday as I am required at work. However, if you are stuck for helmets, I have a medium and a large helmet I could loan to you. I'll be working at RAAF Amberley on Wednesday night and the front gate is a 2 minute detour on the way to Willowbank. PM me if you are interested and we can arrange this. Alternatively, I live near Springfield if you want to pick one up earlier.

That's a shame you can't make it mate. I might have to take you up on the helmet offer if this is still happening. I've had no luck in finding a place that sells ANDRA approved helmets yet. I've sent an email to ANDRA but yet to receive a reply.

OT: did I bump into your silver 135 coupe about a month ago? I was in the silver vert.

Back on topic. Can't promise anything but I know the owner of that place so I will ask if he can do anything for my "friends".

You don't need an ANDRA approved helmet for a test 'n' tune meeting unless you are running in 11's. A normal Australian Standard motorcycle helmet is fine. Details are on the website.

On the other hand, if you are running in the 11's, I want to shake your hand and check out your car!

Ok cheers, I appreciate you clarifying that for me. If it's still okay, I might borrow your helmet for this Wednesday unless I manage to get my hands on one tomorrow or Wednesday. I'll send you a PM now.
