In the end it's all about getting fun out of your car whichever way you like it. The reality is that a 135 with automatic tranny will always hold the fastest ETs given the limitations of our street sedans, all other factors being equal. It's only if someone has a clutchless 5 speed and a slipper clutch you'd see the superiority of a manual transmission reassert itself. Meanwhile some of us enjoy the challenge posed by a clutch and manual tranny and some don't for one reason or another. From my point of view, as long as people are out there racing their car to the best of their ability at that time and enjoying themselves, then it really doesn't matter what hardware you've got at your disposal. I can tell you all one thing: getting hung up on low ET can kill your enjoyment of the sport of drag racing. It's insidious! Just have a good time. There is always someone quicker. Always.

Who care's if it's an auto? At least he does it himself...
Maybe next time I'm at the track I'll hire Vettel to drive my car and see what times I can get... The point we are making, is that what's the point in having a car built to do certain things if you don't/can't do it yourself? |

You shouldn’t care about what I think as for other people on here. This is your livelihood/business were talking about here. Just looks odd. Quote:
I recently purchased a new mattress and sleep extremely well these days, thanks mate. Quote:
My wife’s BMW convertible cruiser already beat this car from 0-400m. She’s pretty happy with the way the car is going at the moment. I'm just having some fun. No hard feelings gents. Can I book in next week to get some things done Peter? |

hey Kenny/Edwin how do you chaps negotiate the 180 at the end to go back to the beginning and another 180 to face the right way again. Is there a turntable at each end i'll go quietly to the twisty thread now.... |

Hee hee, I believe those strange non-straight parts are called "corners" but don't hold me to it. Good idea on the turntable!

Those few turns are the hardest part of drag racing and I dread those corners.

It was good to put some faces to the shit stirrer's that are on the forum.
Had a fun night and only managed a 13.144 at 106MPH After a few runs i found that Red Hot Chilli Peppers playing resulted in the best time. And no Kenny, i am not fitting meth.

your car ran 115mph?
didnt justins 135 run 116mph at a mid 13? your car must be making fairly low power, for that time shows how much an auto can help someone in the special Olympics Last edited by Jackel; 04-10-2012 at 08:06 AM.. Reason: typo |
