Cleaning rain gutter drains

Does anyone know how or where to clean out the rain gutter drains directly below the hood hinges? Sure, they have a screen on them, but all that does is create a convenient transportation device for leaves if you ever try to remove them. Next time I'll just vacuum out the leaves rather than try to get the screens out without tipping them.

Anyway, it doesn't look like removing the wheel well liners gives you any access. It must drain behind that. When I poured water in there, it just seems to dribble out from under the side skirt. Do I really have to remove the side skirt just to clean out the bottom of the drain?

Anyone know?

I think I saw an old thread where someone had to take off the 1/4 panel and the outlet was by the lower end of windshield washer reserve tank

Someone recently posted a picture of their car with a front quarter off here: https://www.1addicts.com/forums/show...ostcount=15692

Maybe it'll help figuring out the routing?

Random ideas -

McGyver some tube / hose and duct tape together to see if you can vacuum out the drains farther in than normal

Similar but in reverse and see if you can get water into and through them

Also just simply poking at them with the tubing, maybe you can dislodge some dirt / debris (with or without the water running )

Some sort of flexible cable (easier said than done)

An idea based off this:

Yep, I've watched several videos about replacing the wiper fluid reservoir and replacing the side skirts. I've never seen a plug or hole for the outlet. The gutter runs behind the fender sheet metal, somewhere between the firewall and the door. It's peculiar that there isn't a drain plug somewhere. I'm guessing it's underneath the car, under the side skirt. I'm going to jack up the car this weekend and start exploring. If all else fails, I'll stick a vacuum hose down there and try to remove as much as possible.

Aha! This is the drain and you can see where it comes out on top of the fender liner (Image courtesy of Socket). I thought it went a lot further down, but evidently it just dumps out on top of the fender liner. There must be a ton of leaves up in mine. I'll be cleaning it out this weekend.

Ha! No such luck. Our famous could snap here in Texas killed all the leaves on the live oaks. Within a week, every tree dropped all its leaves onto the ground. They've been whipped up in the air and blown all around. I'm 20' from the nearest tree and they're still filling my gutters.

Would never have a car of mine that is not parked in the garage. No exception.
