Floor mats on European Delivery?
I'm headed out next week to Munich to pick her up! One question - does the car have floor mats in it when delivery is taken in Munich?

My Sept 08 Euro Delivery came with floormats but not the BMW heel-pad floormats...regular black carpet.

If you can bring them back in your luggage the dealer might give you a new pair.
They do not like to deliver them without mats. Just a thought incase you have room in your luggage. |

Mine did - the regular carpet kind, anyway. Nothing fancy. I kept them in and replaced them with the rubber mats when I got home, although you can buy other ones at die Welt. If you go that route, though, you will have to carry the mats home yourself. Can't just leave them in the car - they will get removed.

Ideally, I would rather not have to bring any mats from the US or buy some in the Welt.
From the replies, it seems everyone had some sort of mat in their cars in the Welt? |

Floor Mats
Can't speak for the 1 ED process, but my 3 was delivered with color-coordinated carpeted floor mats. Did not remove them when car was dropped off in Munich. Mats made the trip in the car to my ED dealer.
When I took redelivery in the US, dealer also gave me rubber color-coordinated mats. |

The delivery is really spectacular. Schedule a factory tour and spend some time in the Museum.

We're really looking forward to it...it's only a short matter of time now
We are trying to figure out a nice drive to make right after pulling the car out of the Welt and are discussing the Eagle's Nest. Is this feasible? We are supposed to check in at the Welt at 7:30 AM; from your experiences, what time should we be expecting to be driving out of the Welt? |

Your actual departure time depends on you appointment time. We completed all of the paperwork as soon as we arrived. We wandered around the Welt for a while before our 10:20 appointment. We opted for the simulator training because we had plenty of time before the 11:30 factory tour. The actual delivery process took about 30 minutes. If you skipped the simulator and cut the "training" short you could be in the street about 30 minutes after your scheduled delivery time.
There is lots of Euro Delivery information on this forum.

Have fun...picked up mine last month. Very well done on BMW's part. Yes, mats were included along with the traffic warning triangle in the trunk.

When you go home, take the warning triangle and the first aid kit with you. Don't leave them in the car.

And when you take the first aid kit, don't forget to check it in your bags, don't take it in your carry-on. There's a pair of scissors in there, security may not like it.
