Blimey...... I've spent a lot of time in SF, and wouldn't consider the roads there bad, so, if you think they are, don't come over to the UK and drive around London

I'd happily drive around SF with a sports package equipped 1er....even a floppy chassis soft top version.
Sports seats are a must IMHO even if you don't go for the sports package.

Given the stated use, I'd say choosing a 128 is a wiser choice than a 135.
