Competitors in the Crosshairs!
Here is a review that a friend sent to me from Car and Driver. I searched the forum and did not find this particular review. If it had been posted before, I am sorry.
I thought it would be nice to share it with all of you. http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/...ature/(page)/1

The writing is fantastic. I'm only halfway through and so far they've used the words 'porntastic', 'bad-assery', 'wussed out' and 'pubescent supercar-poster perspective'... I'm laughing my ass off!!!!

So they've compared the 135i to the: M3, CTS Coupe, A5, TT, G37, SLK350 and Cayman.
Were they to do the same article for the 128i, what would the list look like? I would guess: Audi A3 2.0T, VW GTI, VW R32, VW Eos, MB C230, Volvo C30 and BMW 328i. It's interesting to me how both 1er variants are right in the middle of the lower-priced list and the higher priced list. 135i is less expensive than most of it's comparators and is either on par or slightly below in performance. 128i is slightly more expensive than most of the comparators I've chosen and outperforms pretty much all of them. Also, while they chose the M3 for added splash in the article, 335i would have been a more legit comparison.

I think the G37 is the closest thing to a competitor, and it's still aimed at a different buyer.
Intersting article.

No problem. I figured this would be a nice article for people still on the fence about getting the 135i. I think it answers many of the comparison questions that people are asking themselves:iono:. Plus, its a reinforcement for the people who already bought one.
