Ipod Connection
Hi, I have just recieved my car and I was wondering if I do need the BMW connector for the correct use of my Ipod and watching my playlists on the I-Drive.
So far, I am able to connect my Ipod with the same USB apple connector used for my computer but I'm not able to see my playlists, list of artists, genres, etc. Please give me an advice if I do need the BMW usb cable, or if there is any configuration needed. Thanks in advance. |

In Canada, even if you ordered the Ipod\USB option, you have to buy the Y-cable separately. Approximately $100.00.

anyone having problems connecting their ipods to the car with the Y cable. I use the Y cable and it loads the files into the car but it wont play the music back through it. The ipod says "ok to disconnect" with the big checkmark.
when i use the standard Ipod USB cord (the white one) i can play the music back but not all files are listed as they are in the ipod. Any suggestions? im thinking it may be a faulty Y cord |
