David, If you keep it up, you might be the first N55 over 400WHP. I honestly haven't heard heard of any N55 over 400.

Nick, I think the highest rated N55 right now is 389rwhp.

Of course my 386 was on a virtual dyno, I am expecting 365-375ish next Saturday. We shall see.

I am contemplating my next move for the intercooler. There are "Godspeed" intercoolers I have been reading up on. Basically an ebay brand, but guys still are saying for the money it's a great deal, and basically the same dimension upgrade as any other. For 350 bucks shipped, with no cutting, might be a deal I can't pass up, we shall see.

Once I get the IC on, might get flex fuel wires, and push E85 and try to be the first N55 at 400. Would be very cool, but I think there are guys out there with plenty more time, AND money who are trying to claim it first. None the less, if and when I do make it, I am sure I will be one of the very few.

Posting in here so I can come back and ask for help when I get back from deployment.

Planning on going with the JB4 ISO with flex fuel wires right now. Hopefully I can find a place close to me that has E85.

Those numbers look really good for just standard petrol. Really curious to see what those numbers would look like really dialed in with E85.

"You could do it with just a jb4, downpipes, intercooler, and 20-30% E85"

That is almost exactly what I will be doing with my post deployment build up. Most likely including a charge pipe in there as well.

Charge Pipe won't add any performance numbers, just eliminate the risk of Boost leak or cracking the piece of shit stock plastic charge pipe.

There is a guy on the n54tech board that dyno'ed 373whp and 440wtq, with FBO, Meth, and ~30% e85. That shows its going to be really hard to hit 400whp with the stock n55 turbo. Maybe with a RB style upgrade(new turbine and compressor) it should be possible.

Also, I was saying those 3 mods +e85 work with the N54 to make 400+whp, but not yet with the N55. But time should tell. But if you're deployed, you got time to wait.

RB is currently working on turbo upgrades for the N55, which is awesome. Only downside will be, once they are out, they will be crazy expensive and I won't be able to afford them lol.

I am hoping, with the right tuning, and the right tinkering, I will be one of the first to hit 400. We shall see though.

David, the Aral 102 is actually 97/98 oct that might help but getting that flex fuel wire from Terry so you can run a good e85 mix would be a little more ideal for power gains than shelling out $100+ dollars a tank for Aral 102.

Yeah. I know, but might be the best option.

I can run a smaller mix of e85 without the flex fuel wires, just not nearly as much as desirable. Which is why I was thinking just 102.

Remember, E85 is ~105oct(in warmer months), so you would need less to make whatever desirved octane you want. A 5gallon e85 to 10gal 93 would yeild 97oct. That should be sufficient for map5 use, and i know there are N55's running those mixes without the flex wires.

Ok, so i found out what the Aral 102 is. It is not 102 OCT like we are used to seeing on our pumps in the states. Our octane rating comes from RON + MON / 2(known as AKI). Aral 102 has a RON of 102, MON of 88, which makes it 95 octane to our standards.

Alrighty, well since that E85 station is on the way to the Dyno at Speed Concepts, looks like I'll just head out and throw 5 gallons in before heading to the dyno.

You should try it before the dyno, so you can make sure the car likes the mix.

No need to be nervous. Just gotta remember every car is different, so you wanna test it before you drive to the dyno. Its close enough. Shit, we were in the town when we were logging. You could get your car to about 1/8th tank, then put in about 2.5gallons of e85, and 5gallons of 93 and test it. If its not liking it, you can easily add a little more 93, or even e85 if the car is liking it.

Alrighty man, the more and more I think about it, I might not dyno that day, and just wait for the flex fuel wires to come in. Ordered them today, should be a few weeks.
