Sounds high to me. I am doing a 36 month lease (12k miles a year) on a european delivery 330i with sports, leather, comfort access, metallic paint and heated seats. I paid $1000 out of the door (included 1st month payment and all taxes/registration - I think about 250 went to cap reduction). My monthly payment is ~535.

Need to know the below...if you don't know all of them you most likely got a bad deal...

MSRP
Cap
MF
Residual
Acquisition fee

Kay, I would suggest you learn about leasing. Having your dealer pull numbers out of a hat and then coming here to see if the figures are good or not is not the recommended method and will result in you paying wayyy too much as is evidenced by your first set of numbers.

Understand how a lease works and how to calculate it in your head - well, on the back of an envelope at least Otherwise...you will lose! I absolutely guarantee it.

All the info including rates, residuals etc. can be found here and in the 'Dealer' section of Bimmerfest. Even lease calculators that run in Excel.

Good luck.

Me...MSRP 44K, lease payment $494 pre tax. Nothing down except usual up-fronts.

I may be new to leasing but did they max out your MF and etc., because im figuring it should be way less than 700+ a month? I should be ordering and leasing mine for 3 years and shooting for around 550+ a month for a 42k (invoice+profit).

Ran the numbers using a sales price of 41K plus 625 for cap...71% residual with 0.0025...payment is $697 plus tax.

Hopefully you know how to figure your payment out...

They won't touch it because they know you don't have a clue.

Walk in knowing what you're doing and you have an advantage.

I'll help you out.

MF is 0.00250
Res is 71%
MSRP is 43420
Assume 41K selling price plus 1300 ac fee and SD

I get $660 but I'm assuming a lot. You need to add tax.

Good luck.

I agree she doesn't have a clue...but it doesn't make a lot of sense to pay the acquisition fee so she needs to roll the 625 acquistion into the cap and she gets the payment I documented a few posts above.

I totally agree. I rolled in the acq and the SD as she stated. My number is less tax. No idea what NY's tax is or how it is applied.

Actually, with tax, $715 may not be too wrong.

Better off doing a three year. The MF is less. Depreciation about the same pro-rated.

Still, $715/mo is a ton of dough to ride around in an E90 for 24 months dontcha think? That's 5 series money.

Yep, I get $660 now too...with 8% tax that would give him the $715 you stated above...36 month payments are $583, $630 with tax.

Actually it will only cost him like $2000 more to have a 24 month lease...might be worth it for a short term lease.

Seriously, go to the 'school' of leasing and don't make a deal unless you understand everything about leases and you can actually calculate the payment yourself.
