BMW Performance Seats

I'm about to bite the bullet and order the above but can't find anyone to re -upholster them to the correct coloured stitching. Some companies have even said that it is virtually impossible to do it!

Does anyone know of a company that will do this in the UK and preferably in the Midlands area.

Many thanks

Paul

Give Steve a bell, I have known him for a while now and he has done some work for me before from recovering a steering wheel in alcantara to some work on a set of my pole positions etc.

Steve's doing mine at the moment....total coincidence so glad he's got some recommendations

Its taking a while to get a thread thats a proper match, but he has basically picked the covers apart and will resew them, droping the needle into every existing hole !!

Hopefully they should be done for the weekend, I will post some pics when they are back.

This is a thread I've been waiting for as having being waiting to order the seats for a while now but wasn't happy with the different coloured stitching.

Defo post pics once your chairs are all finished.

F-, let me know how you make out in case you don't find someone local and will consider shipping. I have a great upholsterer but sadly for you he is on the East Coast, but his work is like non other. He will be reupholstering my Euro RS4 Recaros (essentially same seats like the BMW Perf ones you have sans airbag [which in turn are a variation of the Sportster CS Recaro], and they are a tad wider in the shoulder area).

BTW, had asked you if you had any wiring issues for your seats? Recall a fellow UK member stating that if you have the Premium Package and heated seats there are new wires that need to be run from under the dash, wonder what your experience has been? TIA

CCS are great with their embroidery.

If it was me I would have Steve replace the top alcantara section and have the new matching alcantara embroided with the M logo in a black stitch or could be done in the M colours, orange or whatever you like, recaro even in orange stitch for something a bit different.

Well I was planning to leave the BMW Performance logo as is, but you've got me thinking now. Assuming Steve can match the alcantara on the top section of the seat, I think the M logo embroidered in black thread would look kind of cool. Sort of replicate the embosed M logo on the std seats.
Will give him a call tomorrow..

Going to be next Saturday. Getting hold of the right thread has taken an age, but Steve has it now so all systems go.
Decided to leave the BMW Performance logo as it is after all, as Steve couldn't get a sample of Alcantara that was a good enough match with the rest of the seat facing. I will post some pics at the weekend of the finished seats.
It will be another week until my dealer can fit them though.
