The clutch feels very different. Slightly softer and about 20% shorter in throw. I am not sure if this is how it is supposed to feel but the delay is gone and no more jerkiness and the clutch engages when i tell it to.

Can anyone confirm about the softness and shorter throw?
Not sure about the shorter throw, but my clutch feel definitely changed on the inward stroke. If it engages and disengages properly, then it's good. There's really no way to screw this up unless you have a lot of air in the line.

Is there a trick to getting the CDV out? I attempted it when I changed the oil a few weeks ago but I couldn't for the life of me get it to come free from the bracket. I gave up because I was afraid of being too forceful and breaking something.

It's easy. Lift BOTH metal clips ALL THE WAY. I made that mistake and was pulling pretty hard. Then I realized my error and it popped right off.

I can confirm the softness, and it makes sense-you're not trying to force a liquid medium through a tiny restriction anymore in the interest of saving on warranty claims or protecting the driveline from clutch dropping YouTube trust fund babies.
I didn't notice a shorter throw, but I haven't put that many miles on it as I bought it used. It's possible you are seeing the effect of the triple bleed.
What I noticed most was that it was now much easier to rev match up and down shifts, and I had to modulate first gear clutch engagement a little more carefully to keep it smooth. A few weeks later, and I almost don't remember how it felt originally, but it was a dramatic improvement on the day I exorcized it.

I bled it one more time just to make sure no bubbles came out or air. 4 pumps to pressurize and then held the pedal down. Bled it and tightened it back up.

It feels shorter, but after playing with the pedal again I think it is a mental effect because it is softer than before.

Everything you said describes what I am experiencing now so I am feeling at peace now.

No leaks. That was a fun learning experience since i have never bled the clutch or the brakes before. I was always the guy to pump the brakes and hold while my dad bled them. But now I am no longer daunted and look forward to such tasks!

Initial pedal softness was present for sure but after a few days, the pedal firmed up nicely in my case

What are the benefits of the inserts or full bushings? I've read that when I get off my run flats that getting them with new rubber is a great pairing. Lastly, but how much to have someone put the bushings on?

RSB

Got around to installing the Hotchkis 16mm RSB. I combined dropping the rear sub-frame with finally installing the braided stainless brake mid-lines. At the same time I added a 1/16" shim to the rear springs for a 2.7mm lift to the rear end.

Not enough seat time yet, but feels good so far. Bar feels crisp without being harsh (if that makes any sense).

Full bushing wil be of course, a better performing route.

However, labor cost involved in doing a full replacement is possibly in $500+ range, labor alone.

Inserts, tho, is extremely easy. If you drop it off at a shop, Ive see costs of $150-$200 parts+labor.

I am extremely satisfied with inserts so far, the fact that it only costs 45 bucks + 1 hour of DIY time, one of the best mod Ive done so far!

Thanks. A friend of a friend owns Texas Track Works here in DFW which work on and race BMWs. When I get new tires and wheels I was thinking of having them mount my wheels and do the inserts at the same time.

I finally got the call to come get my airbag replaced under recall. The process took about an hour and a half and included a lecture from the guy who pulled my car around about how I should only use ethanol free gas if possible. I nodded, thanked them for their services and went about my business.

I am curious as to what he had to say about the ethanol free gas subject.

Congrats! It must feel good to know that if you get in an accident, your air bag won't rip your face off. As of yet, I don't have that warm fuzzy feeling.

Meh, modern cars are designed to burn it. Corn based ethanol is a farce though and should not exist. If I could, I would avoid buying it.

Luckily there are a few near me that I use 90% of the time. See what I did there?

I should have prefaced this by saying the guy inquired about the modifications I'd made, and made the ethanol free comment after I told him I was running a lot of E85. It was pretty obvious he didn't know much about the car, so I doubt he was that well versed in the newer models either -- just a reminder of whom you're letting work on your vehicle when you take it to the dealer.

As for E85, there's no debate on how well it works with the N54. The only reason I'd ever run ethanol free gasoline at this point would be for maximum gas mileage.

It does feel nice! Especially knowing that I'll be keeping the car long term. I'm surprised BMW didn't act more hastily in getting these things replaced given the possible malfunction.

Installed lux led angel eyes. This was my 2nd attempt at install... Gave up the first time as trying to get those back covers back on is super frustrating.

Anyways, pics:
