What does the Riss Racing exhaust have to do with this Berk exhaust thread? Did Berk make Riss Racing's exhuast or am I missing something here?

So now the price has gone from 499 to i think 650 with shipping? it would be better to wait? or will the current style be sold at a reduced price when the new one comes out? or will the new one cost more?

I don't think Berk will replace them, since they got a discount price of $499. But they should offer free shiping to grind off the rust and put a better coating since it is under warranty.

How does the warranty read? Replace or repair?

Given the degradation in only two months, this time next year it will be full of holes.

Grinding the rust off and recoating is not a solution.

It is up to Berk how to resolve this issue. I am just suggesting alternatives. Other option will be for Berk to offer to replace the old ones with the new 100% 304 SS system with a surcharge to cover the additional material cost. I think this is the best solution for both parties.

I see this getting ugly fast...I highly doubt they are going to replace them with SS. They would lose a boat load. Heck it took them forever to lower the price where we as consumers felt it was worth it. Im not bad mouthing the company just stating facts.

Hello all,

Berk Technology is committed to providing our clients with the highest level of support and dedication to manufacturing the highest quality track tested & dyno proven parts.

We spoke with the vendor who handled the coating on 5 of them. They suspect that they may not have properly media blasted the tubing before they coated them. The other 15 of them have been coated by Jet Hot or Embee Performance and I've never had a problem with any of their coatings.

If you have one of these exhausts with the defective ceramic coating Berk Technology will REPLACE your exhaust will a full stainless steel exhaust w/ polished tips. Your old exhaust must be sent to Berk Technology using a prepaid shipping method. The shipping charges to you will be free of charge within the 48 states. You will need to call and speak with one of our representatives to arrange for the exhaust swap. (714) 546-BERK.

We strive to produce the highest quality products all backed by our commitment to excellence in service.

All the best,
Bryan

I hear you there. I just bought the Maddad axle-back and am waiting for delivery and I know they are a stand-up company.

Lets ease up on the back slapping. We as consumers have learned to settle for mediocrity these days with products and service. I applaud Berk for taking this step but this really is customer service 101 and it shouldn't take exposure on a web forum to get it. IMO.
