No self control!!

A while back, I asked if people were going to MOD
their cars. I myself voted to just "buy & drive".

I vowed I would not mod the car...I held out for 4 months...

I ordered the sunglass tray, m-sport knob/boot, waiting or the Rogue SSK and now...considering
but in silver with a nice dish

I love Volks, and this may be my second set!

I won't do engine/exhaust/suspension mods again though.

Danny

I just did the CDV mod, previously repleaced the MT knob with an e46 m3 knob...will put xpel headlight protectors this weekend...and then the spoilers during my christmas vacation!!! Will definitely switch out the run flats to regular as soon as needed.

I will wait a little bit for the intake mod...until we have more options.

How does the CDV mod make the clutch feel?

Well compared to my vow of "buy and drive", it's a change. Plus a set of volk rims is nothing to sneeze at, cost a few nickles.

Danny

EDIT, you forgot about the SSK, lol.

It's buy and drive for me. The only add on is my M cap that I picked up with my Lifestyle Store voucher given to me when I bought the car.

All my mods are factory originated.

Night and day difference...for what it's worth($35 for the modified CDV from Dave Z. and $50 to install), it was the best mod for the money. The tranny is so smooth now, and not as jerky as before.

You should seriously consider it....

Yea, your right, I'll just take it day by day...isn't that one of the things the blue book says?

there's been a discussion about this here. as much as it is a cheap mod that also makes an unbelievable difference in shifting, it voids the warranty (not sure to what extend) so it depends on you whether it's worth it or not. i personally would do it in an instant, but that warranty crap is holding me back

I can see the stealership giving you grief on any clutch related problems if you modded the CDV, but really, under the Moss-Magnusson Act or whatever it is, they (manufacturer/service department) have to PROVE that whatever you did caused the malfunction. I modify the clutch - my headlight leveling motor craps out - that's still BMW's problem - not mine. Besides, you are only modifying the clutch actuation system - not the actual clutch itself nor tranny, electronics, etc.

So, are you saying the warranty is not void by doing this mod?? I would do it too, but it's not worth my time if I have to start learning about the Moss-Mangusson Act (or whatever it is).
