Black FTW. No going back.

Default choice.

Orange too dull in overcast weather ( 90% of the time in UK)
Haven't got the bollocks to go for AW and don't want the attention.

Not so fast! Still plenty of time to change your mind again, Mark. Don't give up so easily! Have you seen VO under a full moon yet? It's supposed to really sparkle!

If you intend to tint the front side windows then yes but otherwise NO!!!

It looks hellish just having the back done, totally disrupts the style of any car, I can't understand why people would ever spec it.

It's home! Finally got the keys to my VO 1M and it's certainly turning heads. I will get some pictures on as soon as I can. I can't stop looking at the dash board and the Illuminated "M" badge in the Rev counter,a nice touch. The gear change is very smooth and I would say the steering lighter than the 135i. Need to stop going outside and checking that it's still there though.....

I see you went for BSM in the end. Did seeing the VO change your mind?

Yes, twice! First time i changed from BSM to VO when i saw it looking bright. But changed it back to black this weekend after seeing orange in dull overcast lighting and thought the it looked dull itself, bronze or copper tones. Less orange than before.

Congrats!! VO is the way to go!

Yeah I drove through London last night, have never had so much attention!

The bigger brothers seems a bit jealous too. Followed an E60 M5 for a bit until it did a crazy overtaking manouvre in central London! Then on the M25 an E36 wanted to race...!

Have some photos of Wales and London that I'll try and put up.

Hmmm, Ihope this is not the response we get from our fellow BMW drivers! Looking forward to the weekend now when I can drive it a bit. Got gome to find that a bird (feathered type) had already done it's business on the bonnet, the missus says it's good luck! Straight out there with a bucket..

At last, finally confirmed my order. Had been deciding between whether to go for a Cayman S or an M3. But visited a BMW dealer who a white 1M in the showroom, salesman started it up for me too. Sold.

Gone for BSM with all the tech and music options with, folding mirrors and heated seats. Also getting GAP, wheel and tyre cover compo and will probably get the service package. Waiting to get confirmation of the price of it, I've seen it at £400 on here but the salesman wasn't sure.

Will be built by July but I'm going to pick it up in Sept if I can wait that long...

£400 is the correct price for the service pack. I paid £1000 but got a refund of £600.

Interesting that, the dealer showed me their order allocation and a poor sod who placed their order in March hadn't been given an allocation.

My decision was also aided by the positive reviews. Everyone in the showroom was all over the 1M. Glad to have confirmed!

This is really interesting, my dealer has checked, and still wants £1,000.

I did get a healthy discount, but if I pay £1,000 does the refund come from the dealer or I get that from BMW?
