NorCal: 1addicts Eibach Meet Caravan August 16

I am organizing a NorCal Caravan to 1addicts Eibach Meet. We will be leaving Friday August 16th and heading to LA and will attend the Eibach Meet the following day August 17th.

The caravan will meet once in SF and a second time either in Livermoore or San Jose before we jump onto highway 5 and head to LA. I will arrange times and details once I get a solid idea of how many cars and from what cities people will be coming from. Meeting places may have to shift.

Depending on how many cars are attending I will choose a hotel set up accordingly.

Was planning on taking that Friday off and heading to LA early to get there mid day and get car washes and hang out.

well I just found that I can't leave before 4:30pm that day :/

will probably wash the car saturday morning.

It's not too late to sign up for this event, so if you want in, please add your name to the list in a post, along with your car chassis (E82/E88), your car color (alpine white, jet black etc...) and if you want a shirt done with size (mutiple shirts no problem)

Just something to consider. Went on a trip up to Tahoe with my friends this past weekend, and we went off-roading and had a few cars with us. What proved to be extremely useful was having two-way radios.

I, along with some of my other friends as well, realized how useful AND fun they were.

I did a bunch of research and at the moment, the best bang for your buck, but yet high quality two-way radio right now is the BaoFeng UV-5R. I know its a Chinese brand but it has every functionality and quality that a $200 Japanese radio has. And it is absolutely dominating the handheld amateur radio market.

Not only is this a two-way radio much alike "Walkie-Talkies" but whats cool is this is considered an amateur radio and will allow you to tune into the HAM (amateur radio) frequencies, ALONG with FRS/GMRS (which are the frequencies that regular two-way "Walkie-Talkies" operate under) and many more. *Unfortunately can't hit CB bands.

TLDR: If you have one, bring a two-way radio, it will keep us entertained in the car for the long drive and might prove to be extremely useful as well. If you don't own one, buy a UV-5R. It works with every other 2-way radio and does MUCH more too. Only $30.

I also have three to loan out. So if you don't have one, no worries I got you.

Just wonder since we driving down there at friday night, where we get our car wash before the meet? I dont think we can wash at the hotel lol or the meet haha

umm from what my understanding is that we leave in the morning/noon time so we can get to LA with some time to spare for dinner/gathering?

Downtown carwash. We can get them washed super early the next morning.

Some of us will be driving down in the day and will get them washed the day before the meet.
