A K+DCAN cable can be used with MHD for flashing the DME and logging. It can also be used with BMW Standard Tools 2.12 for OEM diagnostics, flashing, and coding.

Well shit. I'm GTG then.
I thought I'd read enough and figured out that the K-DCAN was the one does all cable. Couple programs and I should be set. Thanks guys. |

Which cable did you end up getting?
Here's what I've been considering: * http://www.one-stop-electronics.com/...&product_id=16 * http://www.ebay.com/itm/261443360388...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT * http://www.amazon.com/o/ASIN/B0187HPAOS?tag=mixtame-20 |

I bought the one that costs a bit more but is guaranteed to work from bimmer software . com.
But it looks like it's cheaper than you've found. FYI, there are $20 hit or miss options out there, ebay. I don't know if it works for coding yet, I've gone through the steps to install all the BMW software, just unsure how to use it. Read read read I shall. But I can tell you it does work to flash with MHD (what I'm using to tune and datalog). I'm satisfied thus far. This adapter (OTG to USB) -- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...9SIA0PG06U1118 (yes it's really $2.99 shipped) Last edited by iminhell1; 01-20-2016 at 04:07 AM.. |

Nice find! I just ordered Carly Gen2 dongle for Android (BT-based), their "canned" SW kicks ass, can't go wrong with that if it meets your needs (check their app out). I have a question into them if that dongle has the driver support to be used by other programming tools (like NCS Expert) to cover scenarios that their pre-coded flashes aren't addressing. Worst case scenario I'll just order your cable.
