Am I resetting my service reminders correctly?

I just finished changing my OFHG and changed my oil at the same time along with all the other maintenance due for 60K service and I was trying to reset the service due and oil according to the procedures on the DIY and other videos but when I press and hold the BC on the desired service it does not give me the option to reset. Am I doing something wrong? There aren't that many steps to this so what am I missing?

thanks in advance

Does have anyone have any ideas why my reset is not working? Am I doing something wrong?

Maybe you're holding the trip reset button to long or not long enough? I usually end up in the "hidden menu" lol.

Have you used this DIY: https://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=415111

You don't need to bother with the trip reset button. Instead:

Stuff key in its slot
Press Start with feet OFF all pedals
You now scroll through the menu using up/down button.
Stop at Service Info and press BC button
You can now scroll through service items resetting what you want.

Except the Service Reminder. This is the red icon with a car on a lift. This is for General Service like air filter, cabin filter, plugs, or anything the dealer the dealer can find. I believe it has a 30K interval?

I believe only the dealer can reset this thing.

Thanks I figured it out as well, I know some post said to do this with the car off but I was only able to do this reset along with other resets (my sunroof) with my car running and not just in the on position. Hope this helps others in the future.

I had my rear brake wear warning come on with the red car on lift icon. I finally got around to replacing the pads and wear sensor 600 miles later. I was able to reset the warning and other service intervals with Carly app. Hugely worthwhile investment.
