My Black Sapphire w/ Lemon

Here are some crappy iPhone images at dusk. I've put 100 miles on this car and it is absolutely amazing. Nothing but positive things to say. The brakes are a bit grabby but it is a joy to drive. And damn is it fast. You can pull on anyone in 5th and prob. 6th gear.

the car really does look better in person than in the photos. also the last photo does a good job of showing grey poplar as i see it. (actually maybe just a touch more charcoal)

i wouldn't change a thing. so happy i purchased it. it's a blast. off to get a light tint tomorrow.

EDIT: better pictures on 2nd page.

That thing is sweet! I notice you're in ATL. I'd love to see how the combo looks in person. I've considered ordering it, but am hesitant since I haven't seen it in person.

Gorgeous! Only thing I would change is to Piano black trim to blend with the black saphire.

Congrats!

Awesome. I got a similar config but with black leather. Now I'm doubting myself.... Looks clean, classy, but still exciting.

Hmmm....

dude, that is one of my favorite combos. I would have highly considered it if I only drove the car occasionally. Hardest exterior to maintain, hardest interior to maintain....

The gloss black trim would look great with your combo.

Looks very classy. Lemon looks best with black:thumbup:

Few questions....

Does the 135i come with illuminatated door handles?

Can you get the car without the cup holder/cell phone holder?

and do the headlights turn with the steering wheel?

1. Yes
2. Don't get Nav/iDrive, and your second cup holder will be where hte iDrive controller is located

thanks again guys. i realize it will be a pain to keep clean but i couldn't resist the look.

1) yes it has illuminated door handles
2) the 2nd cup holder pops out and you can store it or throw it away as you need/wish
3) yeah

i agree the HG black trim would look great. the grey poplar actually looks nice though...it is a bit darker than those photos suggest and for the most part you think "dark blackish" when looking at it.

i'm going to get some real photos up tomorrow.

Nice, joelk! So are you the first on this site to take US delivery of a lemon interior?

IMO, gray poplar is a better choice with lemon than the HG black trim (and that's unbiased cuz I love the piano black trim with yellow color line in my MINI.)

But I think gray poplar's dark & light combo nicely ties together the darks & lights of the lemon int (and matches better to Sapphire Black ext, whereas HG black might be better suited to Jet Black ext.)

I believe Joel and I are founding charter brothers of the fraternal Priority 1 club; he with the Lemon and me with the Terra.
