YES!!! thats what im looking for.
The front pic looks right on, the side pic looks a little off. Do you have more pics? Does it bolt using existing holes? Whats the price? Can we see pics of the CF close up? |

Looks great and not over the top. If fitment is dead on this could be a real winner!

Starck replied to one email and the whole thing was fishy. Afterwards none of my emails were replied to. I feel Starck is Icarbon and I really believe the clockwork orange car is all photoshopped. I find it odd that after I started this thread Starck leaked the exact same design. Not a hint of it before, but as soon as a group of people were going to move forward with another vendor my idea as their design was unveiled here in my thread. I gave them a shot to step up and provide a product but they couldnt even reply to my emails so I am moving forward with the initial vendor that was professional with me from the beginning. Let me work out the logistics of what we need to do as a group and I will update everyone here. Last edited by Papethova; 10-24-2011 at 02:35 PM.. |

A couple thoughts for potential customers to consider:
First, primarily for racers or guys who live in Germany: The 1M already has a significant aero imbalance at speed. At 125 mph the rear has ~100 lbs less force due to aero lift at the back. This splitter is going to increase that difference significantly by putting downforce at the front. You'll never notice a difference below 100, but at speeds above that you'll notice instability (nervous, darty, tries to change lanes) and in the extreme case potentially high speed oversteer. If you run at those speeds I'd strongly recommend a rear wing or spoiler lip to counterbalance this. Second point- in the 911 world these lips are usually seen as wear items. Putting Carrera Cup car splitters on street cars is popular and protects the front bumper, but some guys buy them in bulk because they are so vulnerable (especially the bottom edge where your stripe is going to be). With that in mind I would try to negotiate with the vendor to get the price down. With a large group buy we are essentially paying for the tooling and then letting them own it for later orders at a high margin. One way to negotiate would be for people to order 2 right out of the gate at say $400 each, get the volume up and get the price down so that repeat orders are more reasonable. Maybe this is high enough that it will be less damage-prone than the Cup splitters, but it's a thought.
