Yup, see here for Catalogue in German which indicates that, in Germany at any rate, Xenons and 19" alloys are standard:

It's nowhere near as generous a standard spec as the RS3...

Indeed, just what I was saying in another thread.

Like for like: £41k v £44k?

I could be priced out of the 1M.

If metallic paint is extra, then only White is free.

UK Pricing:

135i base + NAV (with discount from Broadspeed) = 29696
M3 base (NAV included and with discount from Broadspeed) = 48119
1M base + NAV (assuming no discount available anywhere but taking into account 17.5% VAT) = 40985

No way that is biased to 135i.

I am starting to despair.

So no sunroof on this car? Besides not offering it in blue, not having a sunroof would be another deal breaker for me!

The lack of sunroof is my second favorite thing about this car (aside from LSD). Sunroofs reduce headroom and add weight at the worst part of the car, diminish the lines of the car, and add opportunities for leaks, rattles, and motor/drive failures.

Sun protection glass = Tint? If the HK stereo doesn't add additional weight over stock speakers I'd recommend it. The stock stereo belongs on my grandma's alarm clock radio.

Those are the two deal breakers for me too. I am going to wait for the next 1M/M2 or M3. They will be massed produced and have many more options. This is not a track car and I want options.

I just compared the price of a 135i with leather seats and so on to have it equally equipped as the 1M base and it costs 44.210€ in germany. Base price of 1M in Germany is 50.500€. So, its only about 6000,-€ more than 135i. I think the price/quality ratio is very good then.

Can you not get any discounts on 135i and M3?

That's when the comparison doesn't look good. Can get 10% off 135i and 7% off M3 in UK from online brokers.

Correction, this was supposed to be a back to basics M car, with focus on track work...now, I wanted DCT, but I can live w/o it, there is no. Real reason for a enthusiast to have a sunroof, it adds weight...I wish I had no sunroof on my IS, there is no real function for it, other than the "I have a sunroof", so I think some people on here are of the camp of "I have a 1M neener-neener",

Now, how about some black rims?
