Windshield Cowl Compatibility Questions

Hi everyone, I recently purchased a 135i and its missing the cowl.

I checked on realoem and the drop in filter (#3 in diagram) and the dme/brake reservoir covers (#4/5) are compatible with the E90/E92. I say this as these can easily be found in the junkyard. For the bottom part of the cowl (#2 in the diagram), realoem says its only compatible with the 1 series.

Does anyone know what the differences are? Has anyone used a e90 cowl in a e82? I'm assuming its doable as people use the m3 cowl in the e82. I'm planning to cut up the bottom cowl to make a DIY m3 cowl. Just want to know if anyone has gotten/made a e90 cowl to fit.
