I am trying to find the rev counter supply wire so I can tap off it to fit gear change lights. For Tarmac rally use

It may be easier to run a Bluetooth OBD reader paired to an app on your phone, which can be mounted anywhere. Several apps offer a programmable shift light.

I find it very hard to beleave

I carny be the only person ever to fit change gear lights to a BMW. Its for race use and need to have it in the power 100% of the time hence change lights
