Do your feet slip at all? They look nice, but I'm always afraid my foot will slip off the clutch.

I wish someone made pedals for BMWs like Mugen makes for Hondas. Their aluminum sponge material is the grippiest stuff I've ever felt. Even wet, my shoes never slid around.

I have black rubber grips on mine! They actually give me more traction on the pedal than just regular plastic ones. Even metal might be slippery.

Highly recommend the basic BMWP pedal covers. Grip well even wet and can be had reasonably cheap.

Authentic BMWPerformance pedals were one of the first upgrades I purchased. It made a great difference and well worth the money.

These are the nicest looking ones I've seen, I'm actually likely to be buying these as well as I can't stand the slipping I get on my brake pedal not to mention these pedals would bump the accel pedal out a bit more as their accel pedal bolts onto the oe and the brake pedal removes the oe rubber cover on the brake pedal. Also the bimmerworld pedals have great little pyramid metal spikes in the right places for excellent grip.

You get what you pay for. If you want cheap pedals for looks go for those, otherwise you'll pay a bit more for functionality and looks

In all honesty I wouldn't go with any pedal covers that aren't made specifically for this vehicle in mind, not to mention ones that have manufacturing to allow for proper heel n toe driving and non-stick capabilities. Plain aluminum pedals would make no sense and be a waste of money, they'd slip all the time.

Just my 2 cents

I totally agree and hope you checked out the links I posted. Both companies offer made in the USA, beautifully machined pedal sets specifically made to fit the 1-series (and 3-series) with non-slip tread patterns that come in a variety of finishes.

Performance Pedals offers several tread patterns to accommodate individual taste in grip.
