I'm not saying I won't do a chip, just not right away. More than likely I'll be going the same route as Clayton (Dinan)... I'll just do my best to hold out until next year though (yeah, right).

That would be awesome. I was thinking 3 weeks, but sooner would be much better.

EDIT: BTW, just call me "Subieless Jason" as-of about 30 minutes ago...

hey 0002s, i'm the guy that ran into you in the parking lot of ram's horn last night. Seeing my car in person just made the wait that much worse.

Nice to have run into you and your wife.

When yours comes in let me know and we can get the group of tri-counties together and meet on Woodward on a FRI or SAT night.

Woodward would be badass. If we could get people together early enough, we could take over "the building formerly known as Bombay's" parking lot for the night. Currently there are 10 people on the local list, so if we could get even 5-6 cars (or more) out there it would be sweet!

Clayton and I have met. He was at my house a few times when i lived in eastpointe, and I think he helped with my exhaust on my WRX at one point.

Seems like quite a few people on this board are Subie-to-1er converts...

Sounds like a plan. I'm getting pissed... I've posted my VIN in to the tracking site a few times now and I'm not showing up on a boat! :iono:

Call the 800 number. If you are on a boat they will tell you that you no longer are visible to them in the system.

THEN...go to your CA and have them look up the status of your car. They will be able to tell you the boat you are on. If it's trackable you can follow it over the ocean to SC (my bet is you will go there). THEN...3-4 days to train/truck up to MI.

Yep, did that... It's definitely on a boat; however, my CA was on vacation this week, so I couldn't really get any info. Hopefully tomorrow.

Yeah, I notice that too. I'm currently driving an '02 WRX. I'm a sucker for brand new cars. I pre-ordered it before the NA launch in 2001. At least with the 135, I actually drove one before I ordered it.

Anybody know of someone interested in buying a used WRX. According to my CA I should be picking my car up early next week.

Do you have any pics of your WRX? Post a couple up if you do!

Here's my STi @ NOPI last year:

Engine bay (there's an FP Green w/8cm hotside in there):

Also, when did you place the order for your 1er? And when did it get on a boat? I put mine in on April 21st and am trying to get a good estimate as to when I should be expecting her...

first sighting

Hey, I saw my first one series on the road today. I was turning into
Troy High School today at around 6:50 a.m. and a 135i (gray I think) whipped past me. It was great to see one in action!

I can't wait to get my 128i. I ordered it on May 1st and it is still scheduled for production with no confirmed production date - UGH!

They're definitely hot cars and I'm getting SUPER anxious to take delivery of mine! When's your car due in? I'm anxious to see the Montego + Savannah combo.

Nope, I'm in the keys and Kimberly wasn't in Troy. New 1 owner or 335i by mistake.

I saw a silver 135i on crooks just south of South blvd. There are a few in the area.

In other news, my car is now at the port waiting for a ship.
