Aftermarket 4" door speakers - midbass?

I have the standard audio (6 speakers in Oz) which produce the midbass sounds but lack the punch of larger speakers which is to be expected. I've installed an Alpine amp to drive the standard speakers and this has improved the system considerably but the midbass is still lacking even with bass set to max and the sub volume to full. I plan to install a sub in the trunk but still want some midbass from the front.

Does anyone have any experience with 4 inch door speakers that have good midbass performance?

Note that the max speaker mounting depth is about 50mm and I don't want to modify the grille.
