Stock Subwoofers (Non Premium)

I just picked up my long awaited 135i last night and noticed that the sub control on the head unit does not seem to do anything. The bass control does but not the sub control. Anyone else have this problem with the non premium system?

A bit off topic for this section of the forum but has anyone had the hood liner added? Mine did not come with one...My dealer told my they would not do it. Might have to take it to another dealer.

I think that's because you don't have subs. Just regular woofers.

i don't recall seeing a sub control on my car....bass and treble were the choices...

which menu do you see it in?

Hood Liner.... your not going to get one. I don't have one, a lot of us don't have one. Its not required, nor a safety issue....

It is in the same menu as bass and treble...just over to the next screen.

There are two subs under my front seats so my guess is that the sub level option should work.

are you looking at the "s-vol" button on the second screen? That is supposed to be for speed volume control. This doesn't work on our radios though....so you are correct in saying the the button doesn't do anything!

Unless I'm mistaken, you only get those two if you have the premium sound system. Do you have Logic 7 options in your head unit's menu?

As noted above, s-vol is speed volume. Put it on the lowest setting or it will drive you insane. Dumbest audio idea ever.

the regular system has like 6.5" under the seats...and the Hi-Fi has like 8.5" under the seats. But they both have a "woofer" for say under the seat.

ah...that makes sense to me now in the s-vol part. thanks! I now need to start looking into upgrade options for the audio. This standard audio really sucks. My friends Hyundai has a better stock system than the 135i. Sad.
