Stock
It'd really help if you mentioned some type of power goal and usage. This is me and a E92 with MMP stage III's. real similar boost, timing, etc. He's on a 7" street and I'm 7.5" race. I'm relocated and he's on DCI's. Both of us are fuel only, no meth. About 19-22psi. When he pulls away from me, I misfired. My car has issues. I'm 120,000 factory stock turbos. |

Need goals to help you. You're also listing vendors with prices all over the map.

Go single. Seriously. You won't find any GOOD data about reliability at that power. And it depends on your definition of reliable ... are you talking they will last a season of racing with no/little street driving, say 2,000 miles or less. Or are you talking something like daily use plus track use? over 6,000 miles/year, and lasting for a few years. Effectively a 'Turbo Service Interval'. And there is far more data on single than twins. Because a single isn't platform specific, you can get a good understanding of how robust it really is. From what I've seen, the average for single is about 4-5 year life on heavy racing with minimal street, I'd estimate 20,000 mile service life (based on various friends). |

Well most of there beta turbos had a ton of smoking issues. You would be foolish to give them your money lots of red flags just like with hexon who produced a bunch of faulty turbos and went out of business and screwed their customers.

well Franken turbos have gd feedback on other platforms a friend of mine who had rb turbos one of which failed on his E93 went for franken tt kit as for me, my stock turbos are still fine but i cant makeup my mind between tt setups available on the market or maybe i will go for a doc or motive single kit since those two have lots of positive feedback although i would prefer to stay TT

If you go Frankenturbo just keep in mind you might need to swap sets a few times. As it's "beta", Anything can happen.
I know a guy who rolled the dice and is on his 3rd set right now. The third set has Been on for 6 months now. Daily driven and pushing close to 600whp on straight e85. |
