Original Owner Protection Program/Maintenance Program Upgrade

Hi guys,

I am planning on purchasing my 135i on Wednesday and plan to have it for more than the 4 years. I was wondering what those owners with similar plans did as far as an extended warranty, if any? It is my understanding that there is both a limited warranty and also maintenance included for the first 4 years/50,000 miles as stated in the following two links:

http://www.bmwusa.com/Standard/Conte.../Warranty.aspx

http://www.bmwusa.com/Standard/Conte...ceprogram.aspx

Under these two sections, there are also options for an additional 2 years/50k miles. Do the defects in materials/workmanship covered under the warranty include such things as the turbos going? I would hope so, but just want to make sure as nothing online states that. I tried doing a search, but could only find a few limited discussions about other 3rd party warranties or regarding Canada instead of the US.

I was wondering what people had been quoted for these at the dealer, and if anybody bought one, or even both?

Thanks!

I don't remember what I paid for mine a few years ago, but each dealer has different prices. Also you don't have to buy the extended maintenance/2OP when you buy the car. You can purchase the plans as long as your car is still under the original 4 years/50k miles.
