Any of you guys do it yourself or had it installed? Looking for a DIY but it doesn't look difficult if the fit is good.

It was easy. It was way harder to install the charge pipe and air box.

Yep, it was easy. Had to take down the cross brace and the pipe will come with a longer bolt to attach it's center support. Fitment was perfect.

SERIOUSLY GUYS BUYER BEWARE!!!! you could be waiting months for your parts if you ever get them and good luck getting a hold of them if anything goes wrong.

there is no phone number on the website....why is that?

if you search the forums you'll see I'm far from the first person he has done this to.

that being said I love the sound of the street series with stock mid pipe and catless dps. I just wish the guy answered an email!

Hi Guys,

I got an email from Rich and he will be mailing me a cheque! Yes it took a while but he was very fair with a minimal restocking fee.

I will continue to do business with Rich, I'll just have to be patient. In the end he is a good guy just very busy.

As for the sound, not sure what others have found. I have catless 3 inch DPs going to a factory mid and the street axle back. This gives a very nice aggressive high pitch at higher rpm and growls at low. it doesn't drone but on the highway it can be pretty loud, what it sounds like other times is why i keep it.

as for the mid pipes, I tried 2 setups. first was my catless DPs with mad dad mid and street. sound was cool but i got intense resonating at 2000 and 3100 rpm, it was unbearable and would get me pulled over in seconds. I then tried taking off the street axle back and putting on my factory axle back. It was quieter but still got the really bad resonating. So i put back my factory mid and the street, it was a wonderful combination, Loud and aggressive but no resonating and little to no drone.

what have others noticed? are you running stock DPs?

Did it myself in 30 minutes. It is really very simple. I love the change of the sound.

Just got mine the other day from another forum member. Installed over the weekend. As others have stated, very easy to do. Make sure you have the replacement gaskets and nuts ready to go. The upper nut on the right pipe took a little creative tooling to get to when installing since the pipes are bigger. I had to put the socket on the nut, and then put an extension through the 2 pipes and connect. The socket was too big to fit between.

Other from that, make sure you have an external torx socket for the hanger bolt. Again, since the new pipes are wider, the stock bolt isn't long enough to put the hanger back on. I believe the Maddad should have a longer one, but if you didn't get one, you'll need a M8x1.25 60mm bolt.

Super happy with the sound. I'm normally used to really loud exhaust, but I'm ok with this one. Much more aggressive than stock. You'll get a slight overrun, burble as well.

Here's a DIY I found before for the N55/N54 pipe, but it doesn't really show the hanger location or the cross-member.

Does anyone know if this would be possible to cut and weld into a N54 E92 335i?

Sorry to resurrect thread from the dead.

But, in the spirit of followup, in the Republik of Kalifornia, a Maddad midpipe will technically fail visual. Don't ask me how I know...

What's the problem, remove/pass inspection/reinstall takes minutes and $20 for parts, totally worth it every 2 years for the little M.

Now, doing headers on e46 every 2 years in totally different in complexity and efforts, but man, that sound is transforming the car, thinking if I should just go for it...

Fortunately, living in Democratic People's Republic of California is voluntary.

I am in SoCal area (LA) and ended up with Berk midpipe and SuperSprint muffler. MadDad was not available and you need minimum 6 orders to be placed. Hence why I decided on the Berk Midpipe and am happy with it.
