Help 325 Sport or Xenon
Hi everybody, I'm Having the worst decision to make..... My dealer F"!#"! it up and order my 325 without Xenon lights as I specifically asked her so after waiting for 3 months my car finally arrived without xenon lights.
So as a nice guy I asked for my check back , but the sales girl takes me to the manager and he offers me a Sports package 325 (18 rims, sports seats, adaptive suspension) or a premium package with Xenon for the same price :rocks: the problem now is that I don't know which one to get and I have (jejejeje really have) to decide today or tomorrow (really I can't wait to get the car) but both options are really appealing, please help me choose!!!! both cars are in exactly the same color (the one that i wanted Arktic) Thanks for your help and sorry fot the bad English |

Do you plan on using Bluetooth? What color interior did you choose? I would personally go with the Sports package. The upgraded suspension is to die for! I thought that 325i comes with 17s for the sport package. Is he throwing in the 18s for you? Would you get Xenon with the sports package? If not, you car would be worth more with the Premium.

Yep, I'm Planning on the Bluetooth, in México the sports Package comes with the 18'' (and its very very very hard to get it) but the sad part is that the model they are offering me doesn't come with the xenon's
Also the premium is an Automatic and the sports a Manual. To very different versions of the same car.... Do you know if I can have the bmw xenon installed by a dealer? Thanks for all your help |

I say kill the order and get what you want. Whatever deal they are giving you now they should be able to give you on a new order. No dealer is going to sell a car at a loss unless really desperate.

well I could do that, but It would mean two things...
1. - I will have to wait for about 3 more months 2. - When I saw the Sports package I fell in love with it but I can't afford it, much less sports package with xenon So I think I will take the risk now, compulsive buyer I know, I know but I think 3 months wating for me it's enough I couldn't stand another 3.... or maybe I could buy that new Lada Niva that looks so cool Joke (not a good one jejeje) I'm going today to the dealership to see both cars... I'll try and take pictures. Thanks for all the quick responses |

Get sports package. You will love your car because of the handling, supportive seats and the better steering wheel. Xenons can be added later. You can get some xenons off of ebay once someone decides they want clear corner xenons badly enough. Sports package from what you described is great.

Adam3k You should go to the Riviera Maya (best place in México jejeje)
My camera went out when I was at the dealer but here's the deal I think I will get de standard 325 with xenon. in sparkling graphite. After carefull consideration, I thought about the quality of the streets in Mexico city (full of holes and speed bumps), and belive me I think the sports pack will be really hard on my back But anyway thanks for all the help and hopefully I'll be getting it this week and have the photos up!!!! |

the only things I would like to have in sport package is the sports seats (18 rims is verry expensive at last even if they are nice and adaptive suspension is not so usefull). But between sports seats and automatic I would prefer the automatic.
In addition to that you can buy xenon or sports seats (expensive) later. So to me the real choice would be between manual or automatic. good luck .

You'll regret getting the car without xenons. They aren't the easiest thing to install, especially if you're unfamiliar with cars.

I would go the Xenons. As it was mentioned before a BM looks cheap without them IMO.
Depends on when/how you will drive it. I do a lot of night driving through the hills so the Xenons are a must for me, but so is the lure of a manual. I would wait the extra three months, and make the dealer fix you up with a loan car while you are waiting. Get what you really want and will love, not what some dealer wants to palm off onto you.

Get the Xenons!! Trust me, they give the car its edge and they look awesome!! If you try to add the Xenons later, it will cost you a lot more than if you can get them when you can. I think you can live without the Sports Package.

Xenons are pretty easy to put on. My X5 did not come with Xenons (I bought CPO) and I put them on. Pretty much four bolts and a little trim to swap out the light unit. The BMW unit is pretty much plug and play into the ballast and light unit.
Let's see, you can get xenons for about a grand off of ebay. In the US, the optionis 730. The sport package in the US is 1600, adaptive suspension is more and so is the 18" wheels. I would get the sport package and xenons later. Maybe BMWs don't look right with xenons, but you really buy the car for the sporty handling and response. |

On another note: Are the Adaptives plug and play, like is the car prewired for them and you just plug them in?
