E82 8x18 ET35 235/40R18
Hi Everybody,
I just ordered set of racing Braid wheels for my E82, but they are 8x18 ET35, which is no issue in rear, but I'm afraid of front. Car is fitted with Bilstein B12 Pro Kit (Bilstein shock absorbers and Eibech springs). My questions are if I can use square setup of 235/40R18 tires with those rims, or I'll need to put adjustable camber plates in front, or I just should forget on 235/40 and run 225/40? Thanks for help |

prob be good with new shocks and struts, and a camber plate would angle it inside the wheel well. you're only gonna rub on heavy rebound. et40 would be better centered in the well, depending on rim width 8.5 or more et35 is perfect.

I'd have to go with 235s if I were going also running them on the rear. I think many brand tires will fit in the front without rubbing the fender. For PSS, etc, I think you'll be able to get by if you "pull your pins" and run as much camber as that will get you. If that doesn't work, Dinan or adjustable camber plates should do it.
Btw, the outside of your front wheel should be right where mine is (I have 19x8.5et42). I did rub a little with front 235s, but my car is pretty low in the front and I rubbed when I turned and the suspension compressed.

Wheels are finally on car, size is slightly different, I changed it for 8x18 et38, tire size is 235/40 R18. I just put maximum camber which stock suspension allowed to be same on both sides in front (-0,5°). And it fits just right.
