Also my wait is over

Earlier today I took delivery of my VO 1M (loaded with all bells 'n whistles).
Definitely concurring with all the good news that's been told before over here and elsewhere about this mean machine: it's the kinda stuff that motoring dreams are made of.
And the best is yet to come, more particularly after the break-in period. So far I resisted the tempatation to use the M-button or exceed 4000rpm.
For those who like VO but fear regrets afterwards: go for it - it's a rich, sparkling colour with many shades.

I am one of those, perhaps I should have looked at a VO outdoors, unfortunately that was never an option so far. Living in a climate similar to yours, (with lots of overcast days), I'm afraid there will not be that many sparkles ..?

Thanks.

41 1M's were allocated to Belgium.

At least 13 are active on this forum (= 31,71%):
- 3 x AW = 23,08% (Ouistiti88 + CO O2 + dave72)
- 6 x BSM = 46,15% (gs/e60/1M? + M3Power79 + Slappymangooze + 1560 + ruf + Luuz)
- 4 x VO = 30,77% (hwelvaar + Rasya + steve79 + Artemis)

Pics or gtfo.

Congrats on the new car

Also, where does everyone get this 4k RPM break in from? The manual states 5.5k RPM for break in?

And, why not use the M button? Does the manual say not to?

Congrats Artemis - I'm very jealous. 3.5 more months to wait for my 1M delivery date. Good luck driving around Belgium though. I drove to Italy through France, Belgium and Switzerland a few months back. Belgian roads are the only roads I have found to be worse than UK.

Here are some pictures of my VO 1M. I was away the past three days for completing the 2000 km/1200miles break-in according to the manual. Getting acquainted and a bit familiar with how the 1M behaves and the tech stuff inside functions.

Kudoes to photographer Lorenzo Hamers (H. Lorenzo Photography) for shooting the pictures with his Canon EOS 5D Mark II. Snapped in Belgium on Sept 25 around 4pm at a fine Meeting of the Belgian Bimmerboard featuring over 100 BMWs ranging from oldskool to latest generation (for a few pictures/impressions: http://www.flickr.com/photos/hlorenz...7627626782231/).

this picture looks sick! i actually REALLY like that you can see the reflections of the people in the background...as if they're admiring the car. can't wait until i can take some pictures of my BSM with my enthusiast T1i. i would like to see the BSM in some garages with some HDR photos etc taken. Great pics Aremis!

Congrats .... nice pics .... good show of restraint on the "M" button ... did not use mine for the first 200 miles either - love the "only foreplay on the first date analogy" ..lol. Now call up Steve 79 and head up to the ring for some weekend fun ... and of course more pics!

Enjoy!
