WTB 3rd Breaklight ASAP

Looking to buy the infamous 3rd brake light I'm in LA asap!

Most people who have 1, want to keep as a spare. Buy 1 from a dealer. The difference between the cost at a dealer and maybe getting a used one here would only be about $30 and you take the risk of the used one getting damaged in transit.

FYI I tried my luck with the "DORMAN 923-231 Third Brake Lamp Assembly" on Amazon. For $39 it's a great value but after install it didn't scream quality, fit could be better IMO (seal is apparent and light protrudes a bit).

Right after install I kind of regretted not to have spent the extra dollars to get the OEM part.
However I learnt to live with it and it doesn't bother me any more. So far it's been 8 months and it's holding up really good, no complaint on the reliability.

So there are definitely options to save money, but you get what you pay for. In the meantime the OEM part keeps breaking for a lot of people so I'm not even sure you'd get a higher quality if you spent more... (sigh)
