Drove to work with no tunes.

Not really a big deal, except I'm not sure yet if the problem is in the H/U or the aftermarket system I had installed. No time to troubleshoot yet.

At least with the BMS tune golf-tee mod it sounds plenty good anyway!

H/U had power, I could see band & song titles and cycle inputs, and output on/off. With speaker on and H/U output fully cranked up I heard nothing.

Not sure about amps and DAC power. They're in the trunk - tough to check while driving!

Went out on a break to check into the problem. Fired it up and all is well!

Got a fancy drop-in replacement air filter- dry type, not oiled. All happy. Amazingly inexpensive, will report back later if that means "cheap" or not. Fit and initial quality was spot on tho, so optimistic...

While putting it in, er, guess that would be dropping it in...., noticed the OFHG is just starting to seep the least little bit. Poo. Guess I'm parts shopping tonight- want to stay ahead of this one for sure

I swapped out my driver's side "oh shit" handle in favor of a black ceiling mounted sunglasses holder that I got off ebay for $20. Recommended for those who think our little babies lack storage!

How much did they make you pay for all the interior? Curious. I'm rocking biege but would love Oyster or Terracotta or Boston Grey. Coral Red is my favorite but it wouldn't work well with Deep Sea Blue so I'd have to wrap the outside to make the inside fit!

Not to nit pick but I think it's Alaska Grey. I have a Space Grey Metallic w/ Alaska Grey. Coral was my preference but the Alaska Grey is what was in the one I bought. That said it seems to be a rare combo and looks good.

Believe it or not it happened by pure luck!
I was fixing my friends 335i power steering pump . When i picked up the part i randomly ask if they got any 135i around he said " there is somewhere in the back when im not busy i will call you with the vin"
2-3 weeks later ( i guess he was really busy ��) i get a surprise call . I ran the vin in the decoder and saw "
LEDER BOSTON 2D1 KORALLROT (LWD1)"
It was game over! i went to check it out that same day and picked it up the next morning

I think the coral red will work with any color it just look too dang badass! Even in my granpa color of cashmere silver!

Finally getting around to working on the 1M front end conversion. Decided instead of having to live with the headache of paint matching and the chance of it not being 100% perfect has pushed me towards wrap...
