I wish someone would paint/wrap the 1M in yellow.

It might be cool.

Ok ! so just got back from the wrap shop, they custom two color samples, the one on the left is identically similar to Marrakesh brown, which i guess is a no go, too flashy metallic tone when seen personally.

the bigger roll on the right however seems like Space Gray with a touch of light Olive (ignore the silver lining its just the metallic layer).

its different than Brass metallic in a better way, less elegant more sporty. hmmm...

Update

Went last weekend to try a sample on the side. Unfortunately the stratus grey color was a no go coz the foil roll was small, which means ill get a merging line on the hood and roof. The guys tried out this zinc metallic but it tirned out like beige, also a no go for a 1M, maybe 7 series lol.

But i was peraonally surprised how it really looks like paint ! Took only 20 minutes to fix

Will check out another shop for more color options!!

I'd like to see (but not necessarily own) a newer Bimmer in the old 'copper' paint that was popular when, in the '70s? When did BMW stop using that color? I worked with a guy who kept his 733i real nice and it was beautiful I gotta admit.

I like this and look forward to the end results.

As a side note, I had my car wrapped for SEMA last year and it was a PITA to remove all the leftover residue from the vinyl. To this day I still find leftover reminders of the vinyl when I wash my car.

I thought of that too but the firm uses high quality german wrap specifically made for tropical areas. They are also giving me a 3 year warranty on the wrap against peeling, defects etc, including removal
