Anyone tried out TC Kline Racing S/A coilovers?

I am looking at either going with the KW V2's or the TCKR single adjustables. Both of these coilovers are S/A and about the same price and have heard pro's for both setups. Everyone I have seen with TCKRs so far have gotten the more expensive double adjustable (D/A). I am sure they are worth it but can't justify the extra $1k cost to go to a D/A. Looking for any real-world experience with the TCKR S/A's. Thanks.

I have no expereince or coment on the TC Kline setup other than the great things I have hear from other club members in the e46 community.

However, from personal experience, I have the KW Variant 2 on my 135 and love it. Perfect sport feel for street and medium track duty. The car stays very flat through corners while still remaining compliant for the potholes and bumps we are prone to here in the North East. Personally, I am very pleased with my decision for the V2s

For full on track duty, you might want higher spring rates than the V2 has, camber plates, and bigger sway bars.

TCK S/A coil-overs are Koni struts and dampers made to TC's specs with threaded body and top adjustment knobs, not the ones you must compress the damper to adjust.

TCK's S/A are good for street driving and track duty. The ride will be firm with high rate springs, but not harsh. The adjustability allow you to cater the rebound damping to your liking.

Has anyone compared these directly to KW V2s? That's sort of where I am.

Don't think I need the D/A or V3 at this point.

You simply can not compare the KW V2's to the SA Koni coil-overs from TCK or a custom set from us using Swift springs. The V2 uses a bee hive style spring, which are heavier and are of the incorrect spring rates to make your 135i handle as well as it should.

Thanks Harold, appreciate the feedback, and custom spring rates are big for me, as I want to car to ride just so. I love the way my 986 S rides, somewhere in that area or slightly stiffer would be a PERFECT DD for me.

Bumping this thread in hopes someone can answer my question. Any TC Kline SA owners have to put spacers on the cross braces? My shop put a washer, but it's still very close to the top of the shock and I think it might be rubbing.

Add another spacer, take off the braces entirely or use the M3 strut tower brace.

So your saying that with the TCK SA kit the stock strut brace is in the way and you have to either remove or shim?
The OE brace may be in the way, it's different from car to car. If the adjustment tip is hitting the OE brace, you will need to either shim the brace up, remove it or install the M3 version of the brace.

I have the DA kit on my 1er, but my E36 M3 had the SA kit and they were excellent as well. Just had a deal I could not pass up on the DA this time around when I was looking to get the SA.

And I'm sure you don't regret it one bit!
