Had major work done to my car recently. Cam seals and cam ledges.. done by an indy shop. He also changed my oil to MOTUL 5w-40 8100 xcess. My car has 125K on the clock.. bought new. So, I'm guessing he changed to this oil due to mileage.
Been driving the car 5 days since I picked it up and my fuel economy has increased at least 1 mpg. I know MOTUL is good oil but had no idea it was high end. Costs $11 a quart tho. Last edited by PA135ii; 08-22-2018 at 11:38 AM.. |

Call 'em. I can't see a reason why the analysis/measurement parameter (oil temp, IAF, voltage, etc) sensors are any different in most BMWs of similar vintage. the differences seem to be more what is shown on a model's dash.
