Key Coding - Dealership switched keys?

So, I took my F21 into dealer for a service.
Dropped it off on Thursday afternoon for service on Friday. Collected on Monday.
They put a very worn key down on the desk in front of me, (the logo is all scratched off & it is kinda shiny from usage, my key was in good knick) I said, "that's not my key".
On closer inspection, the draw out metal key's plastic butt is completely different from the rest of the fob. . . it has quite obviously had a different life.
They tell me "if it opens & starts your car it's your key. We can't re code keys here they can only be done at the factory" . . "are you accusing our staff of dishonesty" . .?
Now I'm not an idiot, it's quite clear to see. . .
I cannot believe this appalling service . I shall have no further dealings with them. .
Barons of Hindhead. . I would advise people to steer clear of them.
