135i post-repair decision

Greetings Addicts! Well, it happened - got my '09 135i coupe rear-ended a month ago!
Fortunately, it was a cut and paste situation - rear bumper, wheel, and subframe OEM replaced, wheels realigned, and car's back to stock.
Unfortunately - my heart's broken and I'm not in love anymore :-(
So I need your opinions on below -
> what is the approximate depreciation I can expect if I decide to sell this 6-month old car?
> Should I just suck it up till the next/better generation 1series is out and trade it in?
> Should I forgive&forget and continue enjoying the car for years to come?
Thanks for your sincere indulgence...

Why would you stop loving your car because you got rear ended? Are you worried about damage that make show itself in the next few years?

I understand how you feel, but I think time will heal and it will become a non-issue (as long as it was a good repair and doesn't having any lingering issues-rattles, etc). You will take a major hit should you sell it now (did you get a "potential reduced value" settlement from the insurance co?). Give it a few months-the depreciation will be incrementally less in the next few months if you still feel the same.

I think if you tell us the reason you are heart broken or what led to this it would help.... there are always reasons.. like appearance.. you can make additions.. power.. you can add mods.. service.. you can go to another dealership.. etc etc..

Go the mod route and rebuild her. Maker better her than before. If you bail now you're just going to take the biggest possible hit to your wallet. The only way I would bail (and see my thread in the Photo section under 'Stupid Semi') was if I was paid enough in a settlement to jump to a significantly higher price range such as a new M3 coupe. Other than that I don't think there's a better car to have.
