[QUOTE=Alfisti;22978284]I have always liked heavy but the closest i have come to proper Metal is Alice in Chains. 'Would?' and 'Angry Chair' being favourites.

Anyone here heard of The Mark of Cain? Aussie bank often compared to Helmet. Have a listen ....

Yes but I'm a local. They're not that well known here either, though I'm a fan. Henry Rollins had a hand in the album "Ill At Ease"

Anyone remember Ice T's metal foray? Body Count? No?

Okay boys! Lets go!

Before Danzig became Danzig Danzig, Danzig was in a band called The misfits.

Someone here will start bitching about this not being heavy but horror punk sounds like fart so I prefer classifying this under early metal.

When my dad was sick and surprisingly I wasn't sleeping at all almost, my husband came up with a morning routine. Since I needed to get out from our house and to my dad's at seven am, he used to go start the car to warm it up for me, he put this song on repeat so I could sit there and wake up with a cup of coffee until I could drive the hundred meters to their house to pick him up in a warm car.

I know I bitch about you men a lot here in Bp but it'll be 5 years this weekend from my dad's death and I associate events with songs a lot. I'm probably the worst wife ever, but I'll never forget his acts of kindness when I really needed them.

My 1st concert was when I was a freshman.
KISS, their 1st farewell tour, 1982
And they had Wendy O. Williams and the Plasmatics opening for them. They made quite the impression.

Oh boys. I am all in for some musac tonight.

If I remember correctly, there were some mildly arrogant (compared to my fully arrogant) fucktards here who complained about the music posted being metal. Also, some Canadians have decided to post shit here.

Now. Everybody knows I'm a lovely person. I shall warn you because I am so lovely that this one is a bit speedy, but still I would classify it to metal. Fuck you all for not being fluent in Finnish but this is a great song about young males who are depressed. The lyrics are funny. The way the band actually tackles serious topics is something this country of metal needs.

I keep reposting this one everywhere here but this should be Finland's national anthem.

My kids think this is what we here, in a real hockey country call Canadian soft.

OK, to walk back the Kenny G bit, my first album I purchased (on vinyl, #whippersnappers) was Kiss: Destroyer "Gotta lose your mind in Detroit, Rock City!"
