You called, madam? I wouldn't have otherwise entered this thread probably.

I would never consider making a blanket statement that women can't fish. Never. I think they are probably by nature, some of the world's best fishers. And believe it or not, I believe they are primarily skilled in landing big catches.

TLDR: They are excellent fishers of men. Ehm, sorry...fishermen. Or...fisherwoeman? No, fisherwoman....oh I'm so confused. But excellent fishers nonetheless!

I'm from FL orig - lived in SD for 10 yrs, now spending a month @ the beach in Carlsbad. The water is clearer than I remember and the temp is perfect for surfing - not too warm. Was in San Clemente last week with family and will head to Newport to rent a boat for the day later this week. Took my 7 yr old to wind & sea hoping to show him the tide pools but the tide was too high. Swam at the children's pool with the sea lions that day too. Will check out moonlight beach in Encinitas as I've heard it's very fam friendly and today I'll be photographing over in solana beach.

Boca Grande, Captiva, Sanibel, Sarasota as mentioned are all very beautiful but I prefer waves... we do like Melbourne, but tough to be the SoCal weather.

Live in Carlsbad/Oceanside but used to live in La Jolla. Went down a few weekends ago to hang out with the seals and sea lions. Don't think I can ever move from this place.

Looking for more suggestions....

Planning the Keys trip.

Key's visitors, suggestions?

I have been before visited Key West, bunch of beaches, the "locals secret" boat party island, etc.

Garage List
I grew up in SE Mass. My parents both grew up less than a half mile from the ocean. I spent the majority of the summer between my junior and senior year in HS cruising the boulevard at Nantasket Beach. Whenever I came home on leave from the Army, I would always drive that same day to the beach just to soak it in. I used to miss the ocean badly. 17 years of living in IL has killed that need to breathe ocean air every once in awhile. Still, the only two things I miss about New England are the ocean and the mountains. I do not miss the crowded roads and stupidly high cost of living.

And seafood. I miss fried clams, lobster, haddock, flounder, etc.

Just dropping a bump. The amount of ocean/beach fanatics who are M3 enthusiasts, I could not have expected it.
